How interesting: Palmetto State Armory has put up a video of how to install a handguard... after they voided my warranty for "modifying" my PA10 rifle... by installing a new handguard. Of course, my PA10 needed warranty work because there were too many burrs in the chamber to even feed ammunition, but that didn't seem to matter.I'm running the handguard and stock on my GMR-15. Handguard was as heavy as the stock barrel nut, so i removed like 11 ozs from the front of the gun. Stock is very adjustable and feels great against the shoulder. I initially had issues with the stock "shortening" as i shot, but once i torqued the screw down further, that fixed the issue.That barrel nut you turned down, tap 4 screw holes in a cross pattern. Repeat this on the carbon fiber tube. Install barrel nut, gas tube, and gas block. As for weight, I have a Smoke composites handguard on mine (12") and I love it. As you noted it is a big weight reduction and that reduction is on the FRONT of the gun.
